That equals 180,000 tons or more than 360 million pounds of leather excess discarded in Tuscany each year.
We rescue this excess leather and partner with local artisans to hand weave and hand-make our bags, supporting local, responsible production and prioritizing statement accessories that can be converted and styled up to 5 different ways.

My name is Cassandra and I am the founder and designer of Sieme brand.
I moved to Italy almost 7 years ago to work in the luxury handbag industry. It was here I discovered the incredible amount of waste we generate in the name of luxury leather goods. This was my light bulb moment and I knew I wanted to use my luxury design skills and passion for artisan handcrafted goods to create a better leather brand.
